Privacy policy

This policy explains the information COI Workbench may process when you visit the website or use its tools.

Browser-based tools

The core COI preparation tools are designed to process selections in your browser. The initial checker does not ask for policy numbers, certificate uploads, client documents, or account creation. Tool answers are not intentionally transmitted to or stored in the WordPress database.

Information provided voluntarily

If you email the site, the message and contact information you provide may be retained to respond, investigate a correction, maintain security, or meet legal obligations. Do not send insurance policies, certificates, claim materials, confidential contracts, or sensitive personal information.

Technical logs

The hosting provider and security systems may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and error or security events. This information is used to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the website.

Analytics, consent, and advertising

Analytics or advertising services may be introduced after the appropriate consent controls are configured. Where required, non-essential technologies will follow the choices presented by the consent platform. Advertising providers may process device or usage information according to their own policies and the user’s consent choices.

Local browser storage

A future tool may use local browser storage to preserve an unfinished checklist on the user’s own device. When used, the tool will identify that behavior and provide a way to clear the saved data. Local browser storage is not the same as saving a submission to our server.

External links

The website links to regulators and other third parties. Their websites have separate privacy practices that COI Workbench does not control.

Retention and choices

Contact correspondence and security records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for their purpose, subject to hosting, legal, and backup requirements. You may use the Contact page for a privacy question or request concerning information you have voluntarily supplied.

Policy changes

Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, when appropriate, adding a notice on this page.
